Reverse Foiling with Toner Sheets and Transfer Foils | Pink and Main

Hello crafty friends.

In this post, I’m sharing some cards I made using the reverse foiling technique. Reverse foiling involves repurposing the leftover foil, also known as negative foil, from the initial card creation, and applying it onto a toner sheet to generate a second card featuring the inverse design. In the picture below, the leftover foil is shown in the card on the right.

For my first card, I added the Pink and Main Ombre Sunrise Cheerfoil to the Pink and Main Pretty Wings Foilable Panel using my Heidi Swapp Minc Machine. I also foiled a butterfly from the Pink and Main Amazing Butterflies Foilables Cut-ups.

You can see in the picture below that the butterflies in the background have the foil applied as well as the butterfly that is popped up on the lower portion of the heart.

After foiling, I kept the negative foil pieces sent them back through my Minc machine on top of the Pink and Main White Toner Sheets. This gave me a bit of a different look for my background — the foil is applied to the sheet whereas the butterflies do not have any foil.
