Pretty Pink Posh May 2024 Release, Blog Hop, and Some Baby Shaker Cards!

Hello crafty friends.

This month Pretty Pink Posh has released a collection of products which are perfect for celebrating special occasions such as baby showers, weddings, anniversaries, and graduations. You can check out all of the products in the video below or on YouTube.

I love to make shaker cards so I was super excited to use the Baby Rattle and Onesie Shaker dies first! In my video above, I show you how I made these cards so be sure to check it out!

Card 1

Pretty Pink Posh Baby Words Stencil and Baby Rattle Shaker Card

For my first card, I started with the Baby Words Stencil. I used Catherine Pooler inks in the following colors: Oh Boy, Chiffon, and Wintergreen. I masked each line with Scrapbook.com Mint Tape before inking the line to be sure that I didn’t get any ink into the next line. I love using different color inks on each line because it makes the words stand out even more.

The main focal point of my card is the baby rattle which I used the Pretty Pink Posh Baby Rattle Shaker die. I die cut the shapes from white cardstock and used the same inks as I used in the stencil background to ink the diecut shapes. Be sure to watch my YouTube video to see how I made the shaker. I added the Pretty Pink Posh Spring Breeze Shaker Beads inside of the shaker.

For the sentiment, I used the Pretty Pink Posh Sentiment Strips Occasions stamp set. I love how the sentiment “Bundle of Joy” fits perfectly inside the scallop piece of the rattle.

I cut down my stenciled background to fit inside the largest Pretty Pink Posh Eyelet Rectangle die and added the layer to an A2 size card base.

Card 2

Pretty Pink Posh Layered Onesie Stencil

For the background of my card, I used the Pretty Pink Posh Layered Onesies Stencils. I inked the stencils with Catherine Pooler inks in the following colors: Chiffon, It’s a Girl, Wintergreen, and Oh Boy.

The focal point of this card is the baby onesie. I used the Pretty Pink Posh Onesie Shaker dies to make the onesie into a shaker. This die set can also be used to make a onesie that is not a shaker — it’s simply up to you! Be sure to watch my YouTube video to see how I put the shaker together. 

I die cut the shapes with white cardstock and inked them up with the same ink colors I used in the Layered Onesies Stencils. I added the new Pretty Pink Posh Spring Breeze Shaker Beads inside the shaker. I love how the color of the beads match so well with the ink colors I chose.

For the sentiment, I used one from the Pretty Pink Posh Sentiment Strips Occasions stamp set and die cut it with the coordinating dies. I trimmed the stenciled background to fit inside of the largest Pretty Pink Posh Eyelet Rectangle Die and added it to an A2 size card base.
