Hello!
Today on my blog I am sharing some dies by The Stamps of Life. I needed a quick birthday card and gift and thought this boxed cupcake card would be perfect!
For this project, I used the Sizzix Cupcake Fold-it by Stephanie Barnard at The Stamps of Life (Sizzix #661843). First, I used the die to make a fold-it card. The fold-it card is my front piece. The recipient can open the card to see the message.
Next, I used the die to make another cupcake panel, but this time did not make it as a card. Instead, I made it as one cupcake panel. The back is one solid cupcake panel.
For the box portion in the middle, I used the Stamps of Life Box-It die. To view instructions on how to put this all together, view Stephanie Barnard’s video here: Box-It Die Tutorial.
The “Wish Big” sentiment on the front is from Diamond Press. I purchased this from HSN.com, but unfortunately it is sold it at this time. The paper used for the sentiment is from the Shimmer Pastels Matt Stack from DCWV.
The pink polka dot paper is the from the Party Girl 6 x 6 paper pad from Photo Play.
The yellow paper is the Lemonade card stock from The Stamps of Life. The red paper for the cherry on top is the Strawberry card stock from The Stamps of Life.
The pink and white paper that make up the wrapper for the cupcake are scrap papers that I had in my stash.
The “It’s Your Birthday” sentiment on the inside of the card is from the BananaSplit2Stamp from The Stamps of Life and was stamped in Guava ink.
The yellow gems are Queen and Company’s goosebumps in yellow.
I used double-sided tape to adhere all of the pieces together, added some miniature chocolates, and a gift card to the center. Such a quick and easy way to present a gift!
