Ice Cream in a Mason Jar

Mason Jar Ice Cream Card

Hello!

I was asked by Kristin Shew Bost, a design team member for The Stamps of Life, to host another weekly challenge in The Stamps of Life Facebook Fan Group. The topic of the weekly challenge is “ice cream.” This challenge was perfect for me! For those of you who know me, you know how much I LOVE ice cream!!!

I made four cards and will be posting them on separate blog posts.

For this card, I decided to put ice cream in a mason jar!

One thing I love about The Stamps of Life stamp and die sets is that you don’t always have to use the stamp set and then color it in. For this card, I only used the die set for BananaSplit2Stamp. I ran the dies through the die cut machine using different solid and patterned paper and then glued the pieces together to form the ice cream scoops. I did, however, use both the stamp and matching die set for the mason jar and spoon from Jar2Stamp. Those were both stamped, die cut, and then colored with Copic markers.

I used the Ocean solid cardstock to make an A2 size card base. Then adhered a scalloped rectangle on top using the Guava solid cardstock, followed by a smaller scalloped rectangle from a  piece of patterned paper from the Hooray patterned paper pad. The Sweet sentiment was cut with Grape cardstock for the shadow layer and Ocean cardstock for the top layer. The sentiment on the inside of the card is also from the Sweet sentiment pack.
