Adding Depth & Color to Stencils with Waffle Flower Shader Brushes

Using Waffle Flower’s Shader Plus Brushes, you can easily create depth and color with stencils. Today I’m sharing how I used Waffle Flower’s Shader Plus Brushes to create a stenciled fall card and a Christmas card.

Waffle Flower released shader brushes a while back, but the ones I’m sharing here are the new, enhanced “Plus” version. Waffle Flower’s older shader brushes were designed to add ink gradually so that you can build up layers of ink whereas these new “Plus” brushes add a thicker coat of ink at one time which will allow you to add ink more quickly to your stencils or die cuts.

The Shader Plus Brushes are small and you can really get into the small parts of your stencil without the ink spreading into another stencil opening.

You can add different color inks to different parts of the stencil because the Shader Plus Brush gives you more control than a large ink blending brush. These brushes eliminate the need to having to mask the other open areas of your stencils because they allow for more detailed and precise ink blending.
