Creative Ways To Use Border Dies On Your Card Designs | Spring Mug Cards | Pink and Main

Hello crafty friends.

In this post, I’m sharing some ways to use border dies on your cards. For my cards, I used Pink and Main’s Fun Shapes Border dies as well as the Spring Mug stamp set to create four spring/Easter cards.

If you would like to see how I made my cards, then watch my video below or on YouTube.

Pink and Main has recently released three new sets of border dies which are all shown below. There are the Fun Scallop Border dies, the Waves and Scallops Border dies, and the Fun Shapes Border dies. I’ll be using the Fun Shapes Border dies for my cards today. If you would like to see two cards that I made using the Fun Scallop Border dies and the Waves and Scallops Border dies, click HERE.

The stamp set that I used on my cards is the Pink and Main Spring Mug stamp set. It has five super cute spring/Easter themed mugs. I colored the images with Zig Clean Color Real Brush pens in the following colors: Peach Pink, Sugar Almond Pink, Mustard, Yellow, Bright Yellow, Lemon Yellow, Beige, Light Gray, English Lavender, Lilac, Light Green, Light Carmine, Turquoise Green, and the Blender.

Card 1

For this card, I layered the stitched straight-edged border die with the scallop border die and then added them on top of a piece of pattern paper. I love the clean and simple look of the white cardstock.

Card 2

For this card, I used the straight edged border die and made three cuts on a piece of white cardstock. I love the look of the pattern paper peaking through the white cardstock.

Card 3

For this card, I die cut the border die from the edge of the card front. Layering a piece of pattern pattern on the inside of the card adds a nice contrast between the pattern paper.

Card 4

For this card, I die cut the stitched straight edge die from a piece of white cardstock. Rather than centering the die in the middle of the cardstock, I offset it so the pointed part of the die is more toward the right. I added a piece of pattern paper underneath. Again, I love the clean and simple look of this design.
