Reverse Foiling and Ink Blending on Foilable Panels | Cup of Tea Card | Pink and Main

Hello crafty friends.

Today I’m sharing two cards I made using the Pink and Main My Cup of Tea Foilable panels. I did some reverse foiling, using the positive and negative foil, to make two cards. I also added color to the Foilable panels with ink pads.

For my first card, I cut down the Pink and Main Diamond Plated Cheerfoil so that it was the size of the teacups and I also cut down the Pink and Main Sparkle Pink Cheerfoil to the size of the sentiment. I ran these through my Minc machine on top of the Pink and Main My Cup of Tea foilable Panel.

Using Distress Oxide inks and an ink blending tool, I added ink to the teacups to give them color. The inks I used were Picked Raspberry, Abandoned Coral, and Salvaged Patina. When adding inks over the foil, be sure to use a paper towel to remove any excess ink from the top of the foil.

I added the Foilable panel to a piece of silver mirror cardstock and then onto a piece of pink cardstock before adhering it to an A2 size card base.

For my second card, I didn’t want to waste the left over foil from Card 1 so I added it to the top of a Pink and Main More Bright Ombre Foilable Sheet and ran it through the Minc machine. This Foilable sheet is a toner sheet in ombre colors. You can use these sheets with your negative pieces of foil to do reverse foiling which will allow you to get two cards from one piece of foil. Once foiled, I used scissors to fussy cut the tea cups from the foiled panel.

I used Distress Oxide inks to ink blend a background using the following inks: Shaded Lilac, Kitsch Flamingo, and Squeezed Lemonade. I cut the ink-blended background with a Stitched Rectangle die and added it to a piece of silver mirror cardstock that I cut with a Scalloped Rectangle die. I added the sentiment from the Tea Time stamp set.
