Use Border Dies in a Creative Way to Make a Summer Beach Scene Card

Who is ready to go to the beach??? I am!

For my card today, I’m using border dies in a creative way to make a fun summer beach scene card.

I love taking a stamp set, coloring all of the images, and then creating a really cute scene with the images. The stamp set I used on my card is the Pink and Main Flamillion stamp set. This set screams summertime!

I started by stamping the images in the Pink and Main Flamillion stamp set onto Scrapbook.com Mixed Media Smooth Cardstock with Versafine Onyx Black Ink. I colored the images with Zig Clean Color Real Brush pens in the following colors: Light Pink, Pink Haze, Lemon Yellow, Yellow, Pale Green, Ice Blue, English Lavender, Marigold, Peach Orange, Beige, Mid Brown, Light Gray, and Light Carmine. To blend the colors, I used the Pink and Main EZ Flow Water Brush .

After they were colored, I die cut the images with the coordinating dies.

I used border dies in a creative way to separate the sky from the sand from the sea. I cut a slimline card panel down to 8″ x 3″ and used the Pink and Main Waves and Scallop Border dies to die cut the sky, sand, and sea. Be sure to watch my video to see how I did this.

After panel was cut into three sections, I used the following Ranger Distress Oxide inks to color them as follows:

Sea – Peacock Feathers
Sand – Antique Linen and Vintage Photo
Sky – Tumbled Glass and Salty Ocean

After I inked the panels, I glued them onto a slimline card base and added the stamped images.
