I had so much fun making these adorable Valentine’s Day cards. The cute truck reminds me of an ice cream truck from when I was a child. It really brings back some fun childhood memories.
The truck is from The Stamps of Life. It is from the icecreamtruck2stamp set. There is a stamp set and a die set to match. To create the truck, I only used the die set. I die cut it two times using two different pieces of cardstock — one time using the red and pink checkerboard cardstock and another time using the teal cardstock. The cardstock is from the Be Mine Recollections 12×12 paper pad. For each piece, I cut apart the parts of the truck that I wanted to use and glued them on top of each other. There is a shadow layer that comes with the die set. That is shown in the picture as the light pink cardstock on the back of the truck. I glued the completed truck onto the pink shadow layer. Then I die cut only the wheels out of gray cardstock and glued them in place. Finally, I put a pink gem in the middle of each tire to add some bling.
For the window, I used Ranger’s glossy accents to put a clear coating on top to make it look like a glass window. The cupcakes were part of the same icecreamtruck2stamp die set which I cut out and adhered to the card using a glue dot.
I cut the card base from the Sizzix Tree Step-Ups Card #661833 die cuts by Stephanie Bernard. The hearts on the step portion of the card are from the Sizzix Heart Step-Ups Card Die Set #560025.
The “happy valentine’s day” sentiment was stamped with Stephanie Bernard’s Candy Color Box Premium Dye inkpad using the icecreaktruck2stamp set and the small red hearts next to the sentiment were die cut from the same icecreamtruck2stamp dies.
Here are two more versions of the same card using different color card stock. In addition, the step-up card base is from the Sizzix Heart Step-Ups Card Die Set #560025.
