Using Glitter Cardstock –with Scrapbook.com

Hi everyone! Today I’m collaborating with Scrapbook.com and sharing some card ideas using glitter cardstock. I’ll be showing you how I made cards using Scrapbook.com’s brand new Slimline Rainbow Glitter Cardstock and Slimline Mixed Metals Glitter Cardstock.  I will also be using their brand new Downtown Letters and Numbers die set for the sentiments on my cards. Below you will see all of the cards I made.

I created a video for Scrapbook.com’s YouTube channel showing you how I made all of my cards. Be sure to check out my video to see all of my different techniques for using glitter cardstock. I would love for you to leave a comment on the video to let me know which card is your favorite.

For my first set of cards, I used glitter cardstock in the background of Scrapbook.com’s Star Slimline Panel die.  I just love how the glittery stars show through the panel die.

I used Scrapbook.com’s Downtown Letters and Numbers die set for the letters on my card. I love the unique look and versatility of these alphabet dies. You can either use the outline piece, the inside piece, or use both pieces together. For my sentiment, I die cut the outline piece from white cardstock and the inside piece from Scrapbook.com’s Rainbow Slimline cardstock. That’s just another way to add glitter to a card.

Another way to add glitter to your cards is to do some paper piecing on a panel die. For my next card, I used Scrapbook.com’s Rose Bloom Slimline Panel die. I die cut the panel die in white cardstock and a second time in red glitter cardstock. Next, I pieced in the red glitter cardstock for three of the roses. I also used Scrapbook.com’s Downtown Letter and Numbers die set for the sentiment. For this card, I die cut the alphabet dies from black cardstock and used only the outline letters.

For my next card, I used Waffle Flower Craft’s Slimline Rainbow die. I die cut the curves in the rainbow from several colors of the rainbow slimline cardstock and pieced in the different colors. I used Waffle Flower’s Outlined Clouds die set for the clouds.

Glitter cardstock can also be used to add glitter to your diecuts. For my last card, I used Scrapbook.com’s Mixed Metals Glitter Slimline paper pad and die cut the reindeer from Sunny Studio Stamps Rustic Winter die set. I used Scrapbook.com’s Silver Pops of Color and Spellbinders “All the Stars” stencil to create a snowy background for my card. For the sentiment, I die cut red glitter cardstock from Scrapbook.com’s Downtown Letter and Number dies. I used both parts of the alphabet dies – the outline and the inside piece – to create a thick red sentiment.
