Spellbinders | Be Bold Color Block Collection

Hi everyone!

Today I’m sharing some cards I made using Spellbinders Be Bold Color Block Collection. I love the dies in this collection because you can use them for quick and easy cards. The dies do all of the work and are the focal point of your cards. The only thing you need to think about is the color of paper you want to use.

There are many different word dies in this collection — Happy Birthday, Thank You, Congrats, Love You, Hello You, and Merry Christmas. For my cards, I used the Happy Birthday and Thank You dies. I will provide links at the bottom of this blog post to all of the dies in this collection, including the ones I am not showing today.

For the birthday card, I used a different color glitter cardstock sheet for each of the letters in the word “birthday.” The Scrapbook.com slimline paper pads work great because each pad contains eight different colors of cardstock. I used the Rainbow glitter slimline paper pad for my cards. I die cut the entire die from each of the eight pieces of cardstock and that gave me enough die cuts to make a total of eight birthday cards! I used the Scrapbook.com Mixed Metals slimline paper pad for the word “happy” and die cut it from black glitter cardstock.

The birthday die measures 8 1/2″ x 3 1/2″ and fits perfectly on the front of slimline card base.

For my next set of cards, I used the Spellbinders Be Bold Color Block Thank You die set. This die set measures 6 1/4″ x 3 1/4″ and is the perfect size for a mini slimline card.

For these cards, I used up some scraps of some pattern paper. I love how the pattern paper looks on the large bold letters.

To finish my cards, I added some ephemera pieces and silver gems to the card front.
