SHAKER Slimline Birthday Card | Pretty Pink Posh

Hello crafty friends.

Today I’ll be making a slimline birthday shaker card using some new products from Pretty Pink Posh’s 9th birthday release.

The Birthday Sentiment die set comes with a die that was designed to be a tag, but I was thinking outside of the box and used it on my card as a balloon. I used the Mini Polka Dots stencil to ink a polka dot pattern on the balloon and stamped a sentiment inside from the Birthday Sentiments stamp set. I made the balloon into a shaker element on my card. If you want to see how I turned it into a shaker, make sure you check out my video HERE.

I stenciled the cloud background using the Layered Clouds Stencil and Scrapbook.com Ballgown Blue ink.

Using the Stitched Border 1 dies, I die cut two hillside borders and inked them with Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn Distress Oxide inks. I added the critter from the Love Balloons stamp set. I used the Wish stamp set and added the presents, cupcakes, and birthday hat to the scene.

I just love how this little birthday scene turned out on my slimline card.
