3 Masculine Sports-Themed Cards for Dads | Pretty Pink Posh Blog Hop

Hello crafty friends.

Pretty Pink Posh  has just released some fantastic sports-themed stamps, dies, and stencils. While these are great for anyone who loves sports, in this post, I’m sharing three cards perfect for dads, just in time for Father’s Day.

Card 1

The focal point of my first card is the Football Shaker. If you aren’t into creating shakers, you can use this die set to make a football that is not a shaker. For my football, I added the Americana Clay Confetti inside of the football.

For the background of my card, I used the Star Cover Plate. I die cut it from blue cardstock and kept the blue stars for Card 2. I adhered the blue Star Cover Plate die cut to a piece of red cardstock. I used the Scrapbook.com White Lustre Brush to splatter some white ink onto the background for some texture.

I used the the “You’re An Allstar” sentiment from the Sports stamp set.  Although this card can be used for anyone who loves football, I added the Dad sentiment from the Dad/Father Shadow dies since Father’s Day is right around the corner.

Card 2

The focal point of this card is the stamped images from the Sports stamp set. This stamp set can be used for many sports lovers since it has sports balls for soccer, football, basketball, tennis, baseball, and volleyball.  I colored the images with Zig Clean Color Real Brush pens in the following colors: Cadmium Yellow, Blue, Red, Mid Brown, Brown, Black, and Blender.

For the background of my card, I used the die cut blue stars from the Star Cover Plate from Card 1 and added them to a piece of red cardstock. I used the Scrapbook.com White Lustre Brush to splatter ink onto the background. I also added blue stars from the Stargazing Clay Confetti Mix.  For the sentiment, I added the Dad from the Dad/Father Shadow dies.

Card 3

For my last card, I used the Layered Sports Stencil along with Scrapbook.com inks in the following colors: Autumn Leaves, Black, Fog, Rubber Ducky, Cardinal Red, and Leather. To get the white color on the lines of the football, volleyball, and tennis balls, I used Scrapbook.com Cloud Whip.  In order to get a true white color when stenciling, I love using Cloud Whip.  White ink will not show up very well over colored ink, but the Cloud Whip gives that perfect white color plus a little texture too! For the sentiment of my card, I used the Sports stamp and the Dad/Father Shadow dies.
