Stunning Floral Cards with Altenew’s Blooming Tulips Layered Stamps

Hello! Today on my blog I’m sharing a two cards that I created using Altenew’s Blooming Tulip stamp set. This stamp set is a floral layering stamp set which allows you to create stunning floral images using your ink pads. That’s right…I said “ink pads.” There is no coloring involved! Anyone can achieve these beautiful flowers just by using some inks and a stamp set.

For my first card, I created a one layer slimline card. I love how large this stamp set is — It fills the front of slimline card perfectly. However, you don’t have to just use this stamp on a slimline card. You’ll see in my second card how I used it on an A2 size card.

To achieve the dimensional look of the flower image, I used three ink colors in the pink family – a light, a medium, and a dark. Since this tulip stamp consists of three different stamps, I first inked up the solid stamp in my lightest pink color. Next, I inked up the second layering stamp in my medium pink color. Last, I inked my third layering stamp with the darkest pink color. You can see the beautiful dimension and vibrancy of the petals that this gives. The same process is done for the stem and leaves.

For my second card, I stamped the floral images and fussy cut them out. I used Altenew’s Classy Stripes stencil and inked the front of an A2 card layer. Next, I layered the flowers and leaves onto the card layer. I adhered the card layer to an A2 size card base.
