Under the Sea Cards

Hi everyone! Today I’m sharing three under the sea cards that I made using the Be a Mermaid stamp set from Pink and Main. To see this stamp set up close and how I made these cards, watch my YouTube video below:

My first card is a shaker card. For the background, I used the Catch a Wave 6 x 6 embossing folder from Pink and Main and then inked the background using distress oxide inks — Peacock Feathers, Broken China, and Blueprint Sketch. I added the sentiment to the background using white embossing powder and adhered the mermaid to the background. I used a stitched scalloped rectangle frame die, acetate, and added some sequins that matched the colors of the mermaid.

For my second card, I made a mini slimline card. This card measures 3 1/2″ x 6″. I used the wave pattern paper from Pink and Main’s Vitamin Sea paper pad and cut it to 3 3/8″ x 5 7/8″. I love the wave design on this pattern paper as it looks like the mermaid and other sea creatures are swimming under water. I used a border die to create a sandy hill at the bottom of the card layer and fussy cut some of the shells from the pattern paper pad. I added a sentiment using white embossing powder and added the sea creatures to the card.

For my third card, I created an ocean scene. I used a wave die to die cut two pieces of pattern paper from Pink and Main’s Vitamin Sea pattern paper pad for the ocean waves at the bottom of the card. This particular mermaid stamp is two pieces — the head and the tail. I love how this stamp looks like she is swimming in the water. I also used Pink and Main’s Sunny Hello Die set and added the sun at the top of the card. I used a 2 3/4″ stitched circle die to add a center to the sun. I added the Sunny Hello word die to the top of the sun.
