Parade for Pops with Scrapbook.com | Using Pops of Color in Different Ways on various Father’s Day Cards

Hello crafty friends.

I’m joining Scrapbookcom in the Parade for Pops where myself, along with other designers, will show you different ways of using the Scrapbookcom Pops of Color on various Father’s Day projects.

In my video, I will show you how I made all of my cards as well as show you different techniques for using Pops of Color in cardmaking. I’ll show you how to use Pops of Color with stencils, embossing folders, stamps, and adding dimension to your cards.

You can watch how I made all of my cards here.

Card 1

For this card, I used the Pops of Color with the Scrapbookcom Stars stencil. I love how the Pops of Color adds dimension and shine to the stars from the stencil. I also added the Pops of Color the center of the letters from Scrapbook.com Downtown Letters and Numbers Die Set.

Card 2

For this card, I inked the Brutus Monroe Circle Tone Stencil with the Scrapbookcom Fog ink. Doing so put the dots pattern all over my cardstock in a light gray color.  I used the pattern on the cardstock as a guide to squeeze my Pops of Color onto the cardstock, making big dots with the Pops of Color. I let that dry overnight.

The next day, I added the soda bottles from the Sunny Studio Summer Sweets stamp set. I also die cut the word “POP” from the Scrapbookcom Bold Basics Alphabet Dies.

I added the sentiment “You’re the Coolest” from the Sunny Studio Stamps Summer Sweets stamp set to the inside of the card.

Card 3

For this card, I wanted to see how the Pops of Color would look when used with an embossing folder. I used the Pink and Main Catch a Wave embossing folder and squeezed three of the blue Pops of Color into the embossing folder. I inserted my white cardstock into the embossing folder and pressed the embossing folder into the cardstock with my hands. I did not run it through the diecutting machine.   All I can say is WOW! Look at all of the details of the embossing folder!

I added the sentiment “Happy Father’s Day” from the Scrapbookcom Cheerful Sentiments stamp set.

For my last card, I made a pattern on the card panel using the leaf stamps from the Pink and Main Toucan Do it stamp set. I used the Pops of Color as the ink for the stamps. I also used the Pops of Color for the warts on the frog stamp to add dimension.
