Hello! Today I am sharing a fun birthday card that I made using the Circle Dots stencil from The Stamps of Life. In addition to the stencil, I also used the pinatas2stamp and matching dies.
I started with a piece of powered sugar cardstock cut to 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″. To create the fun background, I placed the stencil on top of the cardstock and ink-blended the following color inks — cantaloupe, kiwi, seaglass, and sunshine.
Using Spectrum Noir Finesse Noir Black ink, I stamped the piñata image onto Spectrum Noir Ultra Smooth Cardstock and colored it with my Copic markers. I selected Copic markers that matched closely to the inks that I used for the background. The die cut the piñata with the piñata shadow die from the Pinanta2Stamp dies and adhered it with dimensional foam to the front of the card. I also used the Pinanta2Stamp dies and die cut the star shapes out of the cardstock colors – sunshine, kiwi, and seaglass. I adhered the star pieces to the centers of the circle dots stencil on the card layer.
I stamped the sentiment with Licorice ink directly onto the background. The sentiment is from the Pinanta2Stamp stamp set. I adhered cantaloupe epoxy dots to the middle of the stars.
The entire card layer was adhered to a piece of cantaloupe cardstock cut to an A2 size card base which measures 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″.
The Stamps of Life March 2020 card kit was released on March 15 and I’m excited to share with you the 10 cards that I made with this kit. This kit corresponds to the monthly stamp and die set called pinatas2stamp.
There are so many fun products in the March card kit.
The color pallet for this month is cranberry, kiwi, green apple, lemonade, banana, sky, midnight, gingersnap, and powdered sugar. All of these colors will make for some great masculine cards! The kit comes with 12 cardstock sheets — one in each color plus four powdered sugar cardstock sheets.
The petite paper pad is the Surprise Collection and comes with 24 double sided sheets of patterned paper. It also includes pinata images that match the monthly stamp set which can be die cut with the corresponding shadow die from the pinanta2stamp die set. There are a total of eight pinatas that can be die cut. This makes for some quick and easy cards!
The kit also comes with chipboard cactuses, colorful buttons, two ribbon (banana and cranberry), star stickers, a sentiment stamp set, and two dies — a large leaf die and a word die set that can say “Happy Birthday” or “Happy Day.” Just for being in the card kit club, The Stamps of Life also included a free gift — a ribbon in the midnight color.

Hello! Today on my blog is a brand new release from The Stamps of Life called Pinata2Stamp. Here, I colored the stamped image with my Copic markers and die cut it with the shadow layer from the pinata dies. I also used the fringe dies that were sent free to club members (a perk of being a club member!) to create a colorful background of fringe in cardstock colors that match the pinata colors. I absolutely love how this turned out! To see a video tutorial, watch my YouTube video and be sure to subscribe to my channel to see more cardmaking tutorials from me.
